Adjective position

Most adjectives follow the noun, and moving one changes the meaning.

The default is noun then adjective, which is the opposite of English. A small group can go in front, and when they do the meaning shifts from a plain description to something more subjective.

Examples

una casa grandea big housethe ordinary position
una gran casaa great housein front, and the meaning changes
un amigo viejoan old friend, elderly
un viejo amigoa friend of long standingsame two words, different claim
The mistake this causes

Putting every adjective in front out of English habit. It is understood, but it sounds translated.
